Shopping mall navigation
Shown here are the Pacific Place (Hong Kong) mall interactive navigation screens. Simple to use, showing where and how to get to a destination via illustrated map. Though, still the user experience is pretty poor, there is no consideration to the users orientation – a circular interface would help and an installation that can be approached from 360• to guide the user in the direction they wish to head. For example, most of these interactive screens are tucked away up against a wall and not in a prominent location. The good thing about the Pacific Place screens, there is a member of staff stood next to them who is more than happy to show you the way.
